Oreo Dip

Oreo Dip is the perfect make-ahead party dessert. You can whip this dip up in just a few minutes then refrigerate it until it’s party time.

You can serve this Oreo Dip with any number of dippers.

Additional Oreos or graham crackers would be perfect.

You could also serve it up with strawberries or banana chunks.

Even Teddy Grahams or animal crackers or pretzels or vanilla wafers would be wonderful with this dip.

KEY TO SUCCESS #1 – MAKE YOUR OWN WHIPPED CREAM
You can use prepared Cool Whip in place of the heavy whipping cream and 1 cup of powdered sugar, but making your own whipped cream is so much better.

Make sure your mixing bowl and your beaters are cold. This is key to making great whipped cream.

Whip the heavy cream, vanilla, and powdered sugar on high speed until the whipped cream is thick and forms soft peaks when you lift the beaters.

KEY TO SUCCESS #2 – MAKE SURE CREAM CHEESE IS SOFTENED
Cream cheese straight from the fridge tends to be hard and it’s difficult to incorporate into your dip.

It is best to leave the cream cheese out on the counter for a few hours until it’s room temperature.

If you waited until the last minute to make your Oreo Dip, you can unwrap the cream cheese and pop it into the microwave on the defrost or low power setting for about 30 seconds until it softens a bit.

KEY TO SUCCESS #3 – ADD OREO PIECES RIGHT BEFORE SERVING
The creamy soft cream cheese dip is good enough on its own, but the addition of Oreo cookie pieces really takes this dip up a notch.

I like to add the Oreo cookie pieces right before serving this Oreo Dip so that the cookies will still be crunchy. You can put the 15 Oreos into a zip-top baggie and crush them up with a rolling pin or a wooden spoon.

You can store the crushed up Oreos in the zip-top baggie until party time then just stir them right in.

This Oreo Dip is so creamy and delicious that you’re sure to have people coming back for more. Don’t say I didn’t warn ya.
