Snowman Nutter Butter Cookies
Snowman Cookies are one of those treats that you can make a million different ways.

That’s a great thing because you can use any candies or sprinkles that you have on hand to make your snowman fabulous.

I’m sharing where to find all the candy for these cute treats.
Snowman Nutter Butter Cookies
KEY TO SUCCESS #1 – COVER THE COOKIES WITH ‘SNOW’
The first step to making these delightful Snowman treats is to cover the Nutter Butter Cookies with melted white almond bark.

To make things easy, melt the almond bark in the microwave.

Follow the package directions for melting the almond bark.

Most of the time, you can microwave the almond bark on high for 1 minute then stir well.

Continue heating in 30-second intervals until the almond bark is fully melted and smooth.

Fully immerse the Nutter Butter into the almond bark then use a fork to remove it and tap off the excess.

Place the cookie onto a sheet of waxed paper to cool completely.

KEY TO SUCCESS #2 – GIVE MR. SNOWMAN SOME PERSONALITY
One of the fun things about putting these Snowman Cookies together is giving their faces a little personality.

THE SNOWMAN’S EYES
The Snowman eyes are made from two mini chocolate chips.

Place the eyes on the snowman’s face, paying attention to the direction that the points on the chocolate chips are facing.

You can make your snowman look up or to the side just by how you place the eyes.

THE SNOWMAN’S NOSE
The Snowman’s nose is a tiny carrot-shaped candy sprinkle.

You can find carrot sprinkles at your local grocery store or at a craft store.

I found the carrot sprinkles in a Holiday Reindeer Sprinkles mix at Wal-mart through the Wal-mart Grocery Pickup service.

You can also look for carrot-shaped sprinkles in the Easter sprinkles section.

The carrot sprinkles are often included in the Easter Bunny sprinkles mixes.

THE SNOWMAN’S MOUTH
Mister Snowman’s mouth is made from chocolate jimmies sprinkles.

Sift through the sprinkles to find ones that are curved up like a smile.

Or down like a frown. Or straight across like a scowl.

You can also use several bits of the broken jimmies to make it look like a coal mouth like the snowman in the middle on the bottom row in the photo below.

KEY TO SUCCESS #3 – DRESS HIM IN HIS CHRISTMAS BEST
Every good Snowman needs a festive outfit to wear.

We’re outfitting our Snowman Cookies with a pair of red earmuffs and some buttons for his coat.

The earmuffs are made from two Red Hots candies.

Press the Red Hots onto the side of the Snowman’s head.

You may need to hold the candies onto the snowman for a few seconds to make sure they stay put.

The Snowman’s buttons on his coat are made from red and green sequin sprinkles.

The sequin sprinkles are the ones that are shaped like large, flat discs.

They often come in a multi-color package.

Pick and choose which colors you would like to use to make some really cute Snowman Cookies.

You can also use Red Hots or M&M’s for the buttons.

Use your creativity and have a great time making these little cuties!
