හැමෝම යන මීමුරේ කාගෙද 🌿☘️🍃🌾 [වළගම්බා - රාවණා - ශ්‍රී වික්‍රම රාජසිංහ ] (Meemure)

මීමුරේ ගම්මානය ජනාවාසවීම පිලිබද ඓතිහාසික කතා කිහිපයක්ම පවතී. මීමුරේ ඉතිහාසය ගැන තිබෙන ජනප්‍රවාද ගණන නම් අති විශාලයි. 

ඒ අතරින් එහි ඉතිහාසය ගැන පළවෙන අතීතම කථාව අදාළ වෙන්නේ ක්‍රි.පූ. 104-76 (එනම් වළගම්බා රජුගේ පළමු සහ දෙවන රාජ්‍ය සමය)  අතර කාළයටය. මෙම ගම්මානය තුල මුල් කාලීනව බේදුරුවා නම් ආදිවාසියෙකු ජීවත්වී ඇත. වලගම්බා රජ සමයේ ඇතිවූ බැමිනියානම් සාගතය නිසා අනුරාධපුර රාජධානියේ වැඩවාසය කරන ළද රහත් භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේ නමක් වන මලියදේව රහතන් වහන්සේ ඇතුළු පිරිස හීං ගගේ අතු ගංගාවක් හරහා මීමුරේ ගම්මානය වෙත පැමිණ මෙහි ඇති ගල්ගුහා වල වැඩවාසය කරන ලදී. 

බොහෝ පිරිස් පවසන්නේ අනුරාධපුර යුගයේ සිදුවු වියසනයක් හේතුවෙන් රහතුන් වහන්සේලා වෙනත් පෙදෙස් කරා වැඩම කර ඇත. පසුව රජතුමා විසින්, වඩනහලු/රන්දුනුවා හා කහටගහකුඹුරා කියන පුද්ගලයින් තුන්දෙනා

ගේඳුරුවා නම් වැදිනායකයාගේ මග පෙන්වීම යටතේ උන්වහන්සේලා සොයාගැනිමට පිටත් කරවා ඇත.එම සිද්ධිය මීමුරේ ගමෙහි ආරම්භයයි.

ජනප්‍ර‍වාද වල සදහන් වන පරිදි මීමුරේ රාවණ රජුගේ වාස භූමියක්ව පැවතී ඇත. එනම් මාහා රාවණා රජුගේ මහා පබ්බත නම් ග්‍රාමය වර්ථමාන මීමුරේ ග්‍රාමය බවත් ඔවුන් විශ්වාස කරයි. එමෙන්ම රාවණා රජු සීතාදේවිය පැහැරගෙන දඩුමොණරයෙන් මෙම ලකේගල වෙත ගෙඩබසින ලද බව ජනප්‍ර‍වාදයේ එන පාරාවවුන් පවසන පරිදි ලකේගල මුදුන ගුවන් පතයක් සේ පිහිටා ඇත. ඒ අනුව මහා පබ්බත ග්‍රාමය මගකිස්ගම වූ බවත් පසුව මහමුරේ වී අදවනවිට මීමුරේ බවට පත්වූ බවත් 

නකල්ස වන රක්ෂිතයේ නැගෙනහිර බෑවුමෙ පිහිටි මීමුරේ ගම්මානය ලකේගල පාමුල ස්වාභාවික දිය උල්පත් සහ දියඇලි වලින් පෝෂිතවූ ගම්මානයකි. මීමුරේ ගම ලෙස නිවැරදිව හැදින්වීමේදී ගම් වැසියන් හදුන්වනු ලබන්නේ ලකේගල පාමුල මී ගහ‚ කඩපිල‚ පාසල හා පන්සල පිහිටා තිබෙන ස්ථානය මීමුරේ ගම බවයි. 

සිංහලේ අන්තිම රජු ශ්‍රී වික්‍රම රාජසිංහ රජ්ජුරුවෝ ඉංග්‍රීසින්ගෙන් බේරිලා පලා යන්නට සැලැසුම් කළා කියන්නෙ මීමුරේට. මීමුරේට එන රජතුමාට සැඟව සිටීමට ඉදිකරපු මැද මිදුල සහිත වරිච්චියෙන් කළ ඉපැරැණි නි‍ෙවස අදටත් මීමුරේ දැකගන්න පුළුවන්. රජතුමාට ඉස්සෙල්ලා රජතුමාගේ බිසෝවරු දෙන්නෙක් මීමුරේට ඇවිත් තියෙනවා. ඒ බිසෝවරු දෙදෙනාට දිය නාන්න ඉදිකරපු කටුපඳුරේ ළිඳ අදටත් ඒ ගමේ තියෙනවා. රාජසිංහ රජ්ජුරුවෝ මීමුරේට එන්න තීරණය කරන්නේ එහි ආරක්ෂාව හොඳින් ම තහවුරු කළාට පස්සෙයි

මේ තරම් සුන්දර පරිසරයක් විනාශ කරලා දාන්න එපා කියලයි අපි ඔබෙන් කරන එක ම ඉල්ලීම. ඒවා දකිද්දි අදටත් ඒ ගම හැංගිලා තිබුණා නම් කොයි තරම් වටිනවාදැයි කියලා අපිට හිතුණා.

Meemure

Meemure is a traditional village is located in the eastern slopes of dumbaravanapetē (Knuckles) mountain range.

The road to reach the village is difficult and you can reach the village through Hunnasgiriya and along the road across the village Thangappuwa. Presently you can reach the village through these routes using off-road vehicles and it is quite difficult to walk.

As The Legends, state Meemure has been a site of King Ravana habitat. They believe that the village named Maha Pabbatha belonged to king Ravana is presently named Meemure. And history states that king Ravana has landed his “Dandumonaraya”, vimana mythological flying machine on Lakegala Mountain after kidnapping Rama’s wife Sita. Beliefs states that there was an aerial to land the flying machine at the top of Lakegala Mountain.

Accordingly Mahapabbatha gramaya changed into Magakisigama and today known as Meemure.

There are several historic stories about the settlement of population at Meemure rural village. Initially a pre-historic man “ādivāsiyek” named bēdura has lived in this village. During the reign of King Walagamba there was a femine named bæminiyā which lead the Buddhist monks including Maliyadewa Arahant thero to reach meemure following the branches of the river “Heen” and continue to live in the caves at Meemure.

King Dutugemunu has conducted alms giving to these Buddhist monks and today this area is known as “Dandun Kuburu” paddy fields for alms giving. The Queen of King Walagamba sent three persons named Randunuge, Vaḍanahalu and Kahatagaha kubura in search of these Buddhist monks. And later they settled down in the valleys near the caves and assist the Buddhist Arahat Theros. Kælevatta, Ilukhēna, Karu valagahavela, Horaṇāgolla are the places they have settled.

Later Herath Hami from Poddelgoḍa killed the hunter named bēdura and settled down as three families named Udaha gedara, Mada gedera and Palleha Gedara. And respectively the families were named as Herath Mudiyanse, ekanayake Mudiyanse and Abhayasiṁha Mudiyanse.

Presently they believed that the present civilians at Meemure was descendents from them.

Later, due to an epidemics condition occurred in these valleys these three families get together and started living together naming the village as Pokkuru Gammadda ending up the three villages to one village.
