It adds improved haptic feedback, adaptive trigger buttons and more
Sony has unveiled the new DualSense controller that will ship with its upcoming PlayStation 5. The controller changes branding from previous DualShock controllers and has a black and white design.
It also brings new features like haptic feedback for more immersive in-hand feel, and adaptive triggers that can change resistance. The example Sony gives in a blog post is that they can create the tension of a bow and arrow.
Despite some design and feature changes this is clearly a PlayStation controller, with design cues that hark right back to the original 1994 console and a similar touchpad to the DualShock 4. Sony said it has made DualSense “feel smaller than it really looks”, and has tweaked the position of the triggers to better work with all hand sizes.

There’s no pricing as of yet, and Sony will likely announce more information closer to the PS5’s holiday 2020 launch. The colour scheme of the DualSense hints that the PS5 might will be black and white rather than the solid black of every PlaySation since the PS2.
